Title: Chapter 30: A Sort Of Homecoming - Part 2

Out in deep space between the former Skrull homeworld and the Dead Zone, Warbringer and the captain of the Ghost Nebula conclude their business.

When the ship captain asks why they had to meet in an asteroid belt, Warbringer explains he intends to eliminate two problems at once. His mission was to recover the Chitauri warship stolen by Jesse Alexander and kill Nova who stole 10 million credits from them.

In order to achieve both, the Chitauri warrior orders his ship to begin launching over a hundred of the asteroids at Earth!

Elsewhere, Sam has finally located the warship and finds himself dodging laser fire! Jesse orders the alien gunner to stop firing and open a communication channel.

Once inside the ship, Sam and Jesse embrace each other and laugh.

A few moments later, the escaped prisoners realize they are being followed by Warbringer. Sam explains that the bounty hunter who sold him the tracking frequency must have sold it to the Chitauri. Sam flies out to confront the ship.

Blasting into the starship, Nova punches Warbringer hard. During their fight, the alien realizes Jesse is the Earth teenager's father. He offers Nova a deal. Take his father and return to Earth and he will stop fighting him (knowing Earth is about to be destroyed from the asteroid attack). Sam refuses and they continue their battle!

Warbringer blasts Sam Alexander with a high energy weapon causing a great deal of pain. Shaking it off, Sam communicates to his father to find his Russian friend (a code to get to Knowhere where they'll be safe).

As Nova and Warbringer continue exchanging punches and energy blasts, the giant alien reveals that he has launched the asteroid attack at Earth. Sam doesn't believe him and almost takes his foe's arm off with a high powered blast. As Warbringer recovers, he realizes that Sam now holds his energy weapon!

Nova energizes the weapon with the Nova Force and unleashes the full power into Warbringer's throat!

With his enemy defeated, Sam tells Jesse he has to get to Earth to stop the attack and that he'll find him again later.

Warping to the Sol system, Nova discovers Warbringer was telling the truth as he sees enormous asteroids passing Jupiter.

Sam blasts a large one into Jupiter's atmosphere and heads to the next one. The young hero desperately blasts and punches as many asteroids as he can until he finds himself near Earth. He grabs the nearest large asteroid and gives every ounce of effort to deflect it. At the last instant, Nova is victorious!

Until the asteroid he deflected smashes into anotherand all of the new asteroids created by the collision head to Earth.

Sam Alexander races after them and begins annihilating the rocks. The teen contacts the Avengers to alert them to the asteroid threat. He tells them he will continue the fight as best he can but instructs them to destroy any rocks that might get past him.

Meanwhile, back on the Warbringer's ship, the escaped prisoners have been captured and are being put in stasis. Warbringer informs his crew that he wants the prisoners taken to the science division.

He also tells his navigator to plot a course for Earth.
