Menzin Bakian checks the condition of his fallen wife Eve. He tells his daughter Anwen that her mother is still alive but it appears her soul has been captured into the Soul Stone by Thanos.

The team realizes they need to get out of the path of destruction caused by the Behemoth Bug and find Thanos. Anwen notices ZigZag sniffing the air and realizes their dog's enhanced senses can track their foe.

Meanwhile, the object of their quest is seeking Reality Stone to complete his gauntlet and domination over the universe.

Back in Magus City, the Bakians are discussing their plan with Star-Lord. Peter Quill, along with Gamora and Groot, agree to use the Nova Stars provided by Eve to keep the Behemoth Bug occupied while the Novas track down the last stone.

In the sky, a swarm of the alien bugs close in on Thanos. He easily destroys them with the Infinity Gauntlet claiming he no longer has use of them. Suddenly, the mad Titan is ambushed by a time-displaced version of himself! The attacker claims he knows where the Reality Stone is located and demands the gauntlet. The attacked Thanos refuses to surrender his power and insists on being told the location of the final stone.

Meanwhile, the Behemoth Bug continues to annihilate Magus City. Gamora and Peter fly around it in their ship providing the distraction needed by the Novas. ZigZag's enhanced senses are able to detect the Reality Stone and the Bakian family follow him as he flies off.

The remaining crew power up with their Nova Stars which bring them more attention from the monster who appears drawn to the Nova Force. Groot and Gamora blast it repeatedly while Peter Quill continues to pilot the ship. However, just as they believe they are winning the fight, the Behemoth Bug opens its enormous mouth and unleashes an extremely powerful energy blast at them!

Elsewhere, the two Thanoses continue their debate on who should possess the Infinity Gauntlet. The future Thanos believes the only way to win is to avoid the mistakes made in his past. He explains the only way to do that is if the current Thanos gives him the gauntlet. Thanos of the present acknowledges that was the plan before he was able to acquire five of the stones.

While they debate, the Bakian Nova Corps arrives at Mount Terizi carrying Eve's body. At the same time, future Thanos makes the mistake of informing his present counterpart that the mountain is where the final stone is hidden. The current Thanos uses the gauntlet to obliterate his future doppelganger and leaves for the volcano.

At Mt. Terizi, Thanos arrives only to find the Bakians have beaten him there. Menzin possesses the Reality Stone and demands the return of his wife's soul! Thanos responds with a powerful blast from the gauntlet. The elder Bakian forms an energy barrier in front of him and his family which deflects the attack.

Menzin Bakian realizes he can alter reality to his choosing and uses the stone to disassemble his foe into pieces. However, Thanos informs him that, without the Power Stone to sustain it, his attack is futile.

As the mad Titan uses the Time Stone to time-shift the barrier away and launches towards them, Anwen tells her dad to give her the Reality Stone because she has a plan.

Suddenly, a ball of lava lifts from the volcano and forms a bubble around the Bakians. Thanos collides with it and knocks it backwards. As it tumbles backwards, the lava shield reforms into a giant suit of armor controlled from inside by the Bakians!

They begin pressing the attack and putting Thanos on the defensive. Menzin uses the stone's power to increase his enemy's mass to the point of creating a gravity well. His plan is to use the power of the gravity well to eject Thanos from reality itself. The gravity well is created but it quickly becomes too powerful and begins to pull in the mechanical body!

Without warning, the gravity well created from part of the volcano explodes and a very angry Thanos proclaims that he has had enough of this pointless battle. He begins to fiercely attack the Nova mecha!

Meanwhile, Star-Lord, Gamora and Groot continue fighting the Behemoth Bug until they are unable to stop another massive blast from the monster! Their ship was too close to the blast and it is destroyed along with everyone inside.

Back at Mt. Terizi, the Mecha Nova is finally torn apart and its remnants are spread across the volcano. Anwen is able to find the Reality Stone turns to face Thanos for a final battle. The possessor of the Infinity Gauntlet reveals that he now realizes that it was Anwen who always defeated him in the past realities and not her mother. He tells her that he has erased that particular outcome and demands the final stone. In return for the stone, Thanos promises to allow the Bakian family to live out their lives.

Anwen agrees and gives him the stone.

As Thanos completes the Infinity Gauntlet, he proclaims his control over the universe! Suddenly, the gauntlet begins to turn black and glows with a sickly red energy. As the energy begins to consume Thanos, Anwen Bakian reveals that she still possesses the Reality Stone and used it to create the stone she gave him - a Death Stone!

Thanos dies in a pile of bones and energy.

Anwen picks up the fallen Soul Stone and goes inside it to retrieve her mother.
