Title: "Avengers vs. X-Men (Part One)"

In New York City, the Avengers discover a flying object streaking towards the city. The out of control object hits an airplane along with blasting its way through the Chrysler Building! The team prevents the airplane's wing from hitting the street and the building's debris from killing innocent people. Thor uses his hammer to create a tornado which he uses to land the plane in the river.

With the city's population safe, the Avengers follow the path of the object which has crashed to the ground. They discover the UFO is actually Nova who warns them that something is coming to Earth before losing consciousness.

At the White House, Captain America and Iron Man are briefing the President and his staff.

The two Avengers inform them that a member of the Nova Corps arrived on Earth with a warning before falling into a coma. Iron Man's analysis of Nova's uniform indicated that he had been in a conflict with an immense energy source.

The energy signature was confirmed to belong to the Phoenix and it is headed towards Earth!
