Title: "Annihilation: Scourge"
As Blastaar and one of his men question a survivor, a multi-tentacled creature suddenly jumps from the injured man's mouth and attempts to attack! The self-appointed ruler of the Negative Zone instantly incinerates the creature with a power blast. He is left wondering what Annihilus has unleashed.
Three days later and in the Negative Zone's Ma'Os Spires, a group of Annihilus's warriors are being attacked by a similar group of creature-spewing people claiming they offer eternal life. As Annihilus cuts his way through the attackers, he also doesn't hesitate to kill his own soldiers if they display any sign of weakness or allow themselves to be taken over by the immortal creatures.
Suddenly, a ship appears in the sky. Annihilus recognizes it and orders it destroyed. A bank of giant energy weapons opens fire and the ship is severely damaged. As the bug-like leader enters the ship, Annihilus comes face to face with Blastaar.
However, before the two enemies begin a battle, Blastaar explains he came to warn Annihilus of the coming war against a common foe. To convince him, Blastaar brings out two creature-infected captives. Before Annihilus begins interrogating them, Blastaar reveals that he knows of the dimensional gateway being built by his foe. The alien bug leader denies the project and returns to the captives. One of them informs his captors that they follow a new leader now and that he is coming soon.
Blastaar destroys the captive with an energy blast. He tells Annihilus that they have been repeating the same lines for days. The other captive smiles and explains that his master simply offers eternal life in return for sworn loyalty. Annihilus answers by torturing the captive and informing him that death may not exist where his master lives but it still can be found in the Negative Zone.
When asked who his new master is, the creature-infected being reveals it to be the Many Angeled Ones and it intends to conquer everything!
Five days later on the planet Tysilleht, the war continues with the Negative Zone's Mazlo Beasts becoming the latest to be converted into monsters. Blastaar and Annihilus strike down as many of them as they can together. One of the soldiers announced that the enemy general has arrived and is slaughtering their troops.
The two leaders argue about attacking the general. Annihilus wants to fight but Blastaar explains they will lose and they need to fall back to their ships to regroup. The insectoid leader reluctantly agrees and they leave.
However, their ship is pursued by the creatures in ships of their own. One of Annihilus's crew indicates they are clear of the blast radius if Annihilus wants to detonate their Posi-Bomb. He also informs his master that hundred of millions of his citizen will be killed in the blast. Annilhilus feels their sacrifice is worth it and fires the weapon. The entire solar system is destroyed.
Five days later on the Negative Zone's homeworld of Arthros, Bastaar gives a speech to his troops about how death is better than the eternal damnation which the Cancerverse offers. Suddenly, a burst of light appears in the sky and crashes to the ground!
It is the arrival of the Revengers!
Blastaar runs to a laboratory where Annihilus is preparing a dimensional portal to the normal universe they call the Positive Zone. Their plan is to find allies and convince them to help them fight the Negative Zone invaders. Annihilus is unsure if it will work because Reed Richards created it with technology unknown to him. The risk is that if hasn't been prepared correctly by the bug-like leader, the portal will destroy their universe.
Fortunately, the Negative Zone remained intact after the machine was activated. Annihilus and his ship escape through the dimensional portal just as the mysterious leader of the Cancerverse invasion arrives. However, in order to get through the portal, Annihilus destroyed a number of refugee ships which were in his way.
On a remote space station, Richard Rider Nova is hung over from drinking and is vomiting heavily. By his side is Cosmo who suggests to his human friend that he drinks too much. As Richard Rider washes his face, his canine companion points out that he isn't using a sink but is washing his face from a toilet. Rich asks what did he vomit in and Cosmo reveals it was the ventilation system.
Suddenly, an alarm sounds and the two heroes go back out into the bar to see what has triggered it. Nova has become so jaded at life that the appearance of Annihilus's ship doesn't faze him at all. Rich simply puts on his helmet and tells the bartender that he gets to drink for free after saving the space station.
Out in space, Rich Rider Nova places himself between the starship and the station. Using all of his strength, he prevents Annihilus's ship from crashing into the station! With the danger averted, Nova knocks on the ship to see who is inside. The occupants respond by powering up its weapons! Richard Rider answers by ripping a hole in the starship.
Inside the ship, Nova discovers a wounded Annihilus stumbling towards him. Rich lets him fall to the floor. Annihilus asks for help from Nova and the Nova Corps. Fighting the urge to finish his enemy off, Rich Rider Nova informs the insectoid from the Negative Zone that the Nova Corps is dead. Annihilus claims that they are dead then.
Back in the Negative Zone, the Cancerverse invaders have almost broken through to lab with the dimensional portal. Blastaar learns the two scientists with him are the only ones who can operate the portal and kills them.
Suddenly, the mysterious leader of the Cancerverse invasion breaks through and knocks Blastaar away from the portal before it can be destroyed.
The leader is revealed to be the Sentry!
